Carol Ann Bernard

“I have a love for physical movement and health optimization. I am passionate about empowering youth through mobility and strength training, while also imparting the necessary knowledge to make lifelong healthy lifestyle choices.

As a young person I did not enjoy sports as I felt uncoordinated, self conscious and lacking confidence in my physical capabilities. As I entered my teen years I discovered activities that focused on strength building and having fun. I began to enjoy being physically active and my self-esteem grew immensely. In adulthood I have worked as a Registered Nurse and a Police Officer. Both of these professions require a level of physical fitness to safely fulfill the duties involved and these experiences have helped me realize the importance of and individuals ability to move their body pain free and with confidence.

Currently I work coaching youth and adult groups at Move Strong KW as well as a nurse with Home and Community Care. I am also a lifelong student of movement with the goal to expand my knowledge so that I can better help others to explore their physicality.”
